Important Characteristics of Languages

German is among the main languages in the world. It is also the
second most widely used language on the Internet. Germany holds
more trade shows than any other country and is a major destination
for U.S. exports. Major industries include Pharmaceutical,
Automotive, Engineering and Science, all areas that demand high
standards in German translation.

US English (AE) differs from British English (BE).  Not only in
pronunciation and choice of terminology, but also in spelling.
George Bernard Shaw once said that the United States and the UK
are "two countries divided by a common language."

GLS Translation Services

Literal translations can be anything from funny to completely
confusing. Don't let your messages get "lost in translation."

Computer translations and translation software can not substitute or
compete with the "brains" and the creative skills of a professional
translator. A good translator will ask you a lot of questions and will
make sure that each document translation will fit the needs of those
who will use it. Style, vocabulary and terminology will be determined
based on the target group you have in mind. Sometimes you might
want to translate only the key issues in a document.

Translation fees are based on word counts of the final (target)
language. A minimum charge of $25 applies to all orders.

Volume discounts are available for documents with more than 1,000
words. New customers receive the first page of any translation free
of charge.
